Emessem Solenoid announces name change

Our aim in every project is to deliver unrivalled customer satisfaction. We're constantly innovating, and constantly making news.

UK based Emessem Solenoid, a manufacturer of specialist solenoid actuators and mechanisms, has today announced that it has changed its name to Magnet Schultz Ltd.   A wholly owned subsidiary of the Magnet-Schultz Group, a worldwide manufacturer of solenoids and related products, the objective of the name change is to strengthen the association with the Magnet-Schultz Group and to unite all staff under one name.

Commenting, Andrew Newton, Managing Director of Emessem Solenoid said:  “The change, which takes immediate effect, is both practical and symbolic.  It reflects the Magnet-Schultz Group’s position as market leader in solenoids and related products for over 90 years and our very close ties with our parent company.”

Emessem Solenoid has been a leading solenoid specialist in the UK since 1967. Throughout the past 40 years it has represented the interests of the family owned Magnet-Schultz Group, initially as an agent, and since 1991 as a wholly owned subsidiary.  Working closely with its parent company in Germany and five manufacturing plants throughout Europe and the United States, Emessem has developed a reputation for technical know-how and expertise.

Using solenoid technology, the company focuses on providing top quality engineering solutions for a spectrum of applications. It aims to provide the highest possible level of technical performance, whether supplying a bare solenoid or manufacturing a complex assembly.

The Magnet-Schultz Group has been in business since 1912.  It employs a workforce of 1700 and is the world's leading manufacturer of solenoids and electro-magnetic products. Since becoming part of the Magnet-Schultz Group, Emessem has significantly expanded its operation in Old Woking, Surrey by offering customers a design, development and manufacturing service.
